Advanced Threat Analytics (ATA) is an on-premises platform that helps protect your enterprise from multiple types of advanced targeted cyber attacks and insider threats.
Windows Update does not show Advanced Threat Analytics updates
When a new update is available for ATA, a blue icon is on the top of the web interface of the ATA center. It shows ‘go to Center and use Windows Update’.
During the ATA installation, an option allows you to install immediately via Windows Update:
However, when checking for updates in Windows Update, no ATA update is here. The problem occurs on Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2019 (and maybe on older versions) and ATA 1.9.7478:
Force update of Advanced Threat Analytics
Following the update of ATA, an update of the gateways is necessary. If you are using lightweight gateways (installed directly on the domain controllers), make sure that restarting the domain controllers is not automatic.
To fix the update issue, you need to use sconfig from ATA server.
Type 6 for Windows Update Settings.

s to install only a single update.
Type the number of Microsoft Advanced Threat Analytics update (7 for me)
Wait during downloading and installing.
At the end, you have to set the language for ATA and it will be updated.
