Microsoft released Entra Connect Sync 2.6.92.0 on 23 September 2026, one week after 2.6.91.0. It is a hotfix release with security fixes, and Microsoft recommends upgrading as soon as possible.
Release status
23 September 2026: released for download via the Microsoft Entra admin center. This is a hotfix release. To download it, sign in to entra.microsoft.com and open Microsoft Entra Connect > Get started.
Bug fix
- Fixed an issue in version 2.6.91.0 where enabling Pass-through Authentication through the Microsoft Entra Connect wizard could fail while registering the locally installed Microsoft Entra Connect Authentication Agent.
If you use Pass-through Authentication and planned to deploy 2.6.91.0, go straight to 2.6.92.0.
End of support for the previous version
Version 2.6.91.0 goes out of support on 23 September 2027, 12 months after the release of 2.6.92.0.
Reminder: 30 September 2026 deadline
All synchronization services stop working on 30 September 2026 on servers that are not at least on version 2.5.79.0. If you still run an older build, upgrade now.
